Motion calendar re-planning: what happens when meetings change?
Understand Motion's documented calendar re-planning, its task-priority signals, and which current plan lists the feature before you rely on it for a crowded workday.
Features and plans
Motion's AI Calendar says it recalculates your schedule when plans change. Its example is operational rather than theoretical: if a meeting runs long or an emergency appears, Motion says it reshuffles the day and week. This is the vendor's documented behavior, not a test performed for this guide. Source: AI Calendar.
Motion says it plans tasks using deadlines, duration and priorities, and that it considers actual capacity. Its Task Manager page also mentions dependencies and custom time windows. These are product-page descriptions, not an independent audit of the scheduling algorithm. Sources: AI Calendar; AI Task Manager.
The AI Calendar page says high-priority work stays on the calendar when schedules change and describes protection for deep-work time. Treat that as a stated product goal, not a guarantee that every task or deadline will remain unchanged. Source: AI Calendar.
Under Individuals, the Pay monthly view lists Pro AI at US$48/month and includes AI Calendar and Meetings, AI Projects and Tasks, AI Task Planner, integrations and 7,500 credits per month. The Pay annually (Save 33%) view displays US$29/month. Under Teams, Pro AI displays US$29/seat/month monthly or US$19/seat/month annually. Source: Pricing.
Under Individuals, Business AI displays US$67/month with monthly billing and US$39/month with annual billing. Under Teams, it displays US$49/seat/month monthly and US$29/seat/month annually. It includes everything in Pro AI, plus team capacity planning, advanced dashboards and reports, timeline and Gantt charts, time tracking, permissions and access control, central billing and priority support, with 15,000 credits per seat per month. If your question is simply whether Motion's listed AI calendar can re-plan an individual workday, Pro AI is the smallest listed paid plan whose feature list includes AI Calendar and Meetings. Business AI is the plan to examine when team capacity, permissions, reporting or central billing matter. This is a reading of the published plan matrix, not a personal recommendation based on account testing.
The official Motion pricing page was checked on October 16, 2026 with both Individuals/Teams and Pay monthly/Pay annually selectors inspected. The page labels annual billing “Save 33%” and displays these monthly equivalents: Individuals US$48/US$67 monthly or US$29/US$39 annually; Teams US$29/US$49 monthly or US$19/US$29 annually, for Pro AI/Business AI respectively. No taxes, region, currency conversion, checkout amount or app-store pricing is inferred. Source: Pricing.
Before relying on automatic re-planning, write down one real scheduling constraint: a fixed meeting, a task deadline, a task duration or a capacity limit. Compare the plan's resulting schedule with that constraint and check any at-risk warning yourself. This is a suggested review routine, not evidence that we ran a Motion account or measured the result.
