Features and plans

Short answer

Connecting Google or Outlook Calendar does not require Pro: the integration is available on Beginner, Pro and Business. Calendar layout is the separate paid feature for arranging tasks visually inside Todoist.

What the integration does

It displays read-only external events in Today and Upcoming. Optional task syncing uses a separate Todoist calendar; date-only tasks need all-day sync enabled. You can connect one Google or Outlook account. Source: Calendar integration.

What the paid layout adds

Pro and Business let you display tasks on a calendar grid. On web, open a project or view, choose Display, then Calendar, and select Week, 3 days or Month. You can move tasks to different dates and schedule undated tasks. The layout is a planning surface; it is not the name of the account connection. Source: Calendar layout.

Check your device before upgrading

The documented mobile choices differ: iOS offers Agenda or Week, with three days in portrait and seven in landscape. Android offers Agenda or 3-day, with Week depending on orientation. Viewing future recurring-task occurrences in Upcoming is documented for desktop/web, not iOS or Android. Do not assume every desktop control exists on your phone. Source: Calendar layout.

When task duration matters

Task duration is listed for Pro and Business. A task needs a date and time before you set its length, using natural language, the scheduler or the calendar. The documented maximum is 24 hours; a multi-day duration is not supported. In the calendar, dragging an all-day task into a time slot initially gives it 30 minutes, which you can adjust. A simple decision rule

If you only want meetings visible beside your to-do list, start with Beginner. Consider Pro when a visual task calendar or editable task lengths would genuinely change how you plan. For example, reserving a defined writing session inside Todoist is a different need from checking whether a meeting conflicts with a task date. This is a suggested decision process, not a measured productivity result.

Price and other plan limits

Beginner is free and lists five personal projects, list/board layouts and three filters. Pro lists 300 personal projects, 150 filters, calendar layout and task duration. The official web page did not expose a reliable paid price in the text checked on October 14, 2026. Verify the amount, currency, billing interval and tax at your own checkout rather than treating an old quotation as current. Source: Pricing.

Before relying on calendar sync

Synced tasks do not mark your primary calendar busy. New events in the Todoist calendar do not create tasks. Disabling task sync deletes that calendar’s events, including manually added ones. Source: Calendar integration.
