Source Manifest Validator

Check that every required claim has a supplied, reviewed primary-source record before the next editorial stage.

MIT-licensed code · Manual trigger · No credentials. Valid, rejected and restored runs tested on n8n 2.39.6.

What it checks

Source records, required claims and review timestamps

01

Bounded inputs

One to fifty source records and required claims. Missing reviews, duplicate URLs and uncovered claims stop execution.

02

Restricted URL contract

Clean HTTPS DNS hosts and ASCII paths only. Query strings, fragments, ports, credentials, IP literals and encoded paths are rejected.

03

Human judgment remains essential

The code does not fetch sources, authenticate reviewers or verify factual accuracy. Supplied review labels are data, not proof.

Manual test

Run valid, rejected and restored cases

  1. Import into a new, inactive workflow and run the fictional example
  2. Set the source review status to pending and confirm rejection
  3. Restore verified and confirm success before adapting the template

This validator passed 78 local tests and fresh valid, rejected and restored manual runs on n8n 2.39.6. These checks do not prove source truth or production readiness.
